NATURE OF WORK: Under limited supervision performs work of routine difficulty in the operation of a bus for a fixed route public transit system; performs related work as assigned.
TYPICAL DUTIES: (Illustrative only)
Drives a transit bus, loading and unloading passengers at designated stops; ensures safety and security of vehicle and passengers; collects fares and checks passenger passes or transfers; performs routine vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance; prepares and maintains records and reports. Sedona operators are responsible for maintenance of vehicle exterior and interiors.

Traffic and safety rules
Skill in:
Driving under adverse weather conditions.
Ability to:
Competently operate a passenger bus safely; recognize hazardous conditions and react appropriately; prepare and maintain records, files, and reports; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public; follow written and verbal instructions; communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid Arizona Drivers. Must comply with federally mandated drug and alcohol screening.
**All positions must obtain a First Class Fingerprint Clearance card upon hire.**
Applicant must provide certified 5-year Motor Vehicle Record with application.
Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory for all driving positions due to federal regulations.
This position is an on-call (OC) position.
It is part time as needed and not eligible for benefits
